Rebate Program

Beginning July 1, 2008 United Electric Cooperative will pay rebates towards the following energy efficient appliances.

Water Heater : $50 rebate for electric water heater that is a minimum of 40 gallons, high efficiency unit with a minimum efficiency rating of .90. To receive rebate, member must join the Switch Team Energy Management program in which the Cooperative will install a load control device (free of charge).

Room Air Conditioner : $50 rebate for high efficiency Energy Star rated room air conditioner.

Clothes Washer : $100 rebate for high efficiency Energy Star rated clothes washer.

Dish Washer : $50 rebate for high efficiency Energy Star rated dish washer.

Air Source Heat Pump : $150 per ton rebate for air source heat pump with a propane or natural gas backup. Air source must have a minimum SEER 14.5 and must be sized to operate at 25 degrees fahrenheit before the unit switches to the backup system. To receive rebate, member must join the Switch Team Energy Management program in which the Cooperative will install a load control device (free of charge).

Ground Source Heat Pump : $750 per ton rebate for new or $150 per ton rebate for replacement ground source heat pump sized to a Delta T of 80 (a Manual J calculation shall be submitted to support the Delta T). Electric backup heat will be allowed only if the backup heat is separated from the heat pump by the installation of a separate breaker or two-stage thermostat. To receive rebate, member must join the Switch Team Energy Management program in which the Cooperative will install a load control device (free of charge).
